The Company’s plants have cutting-edge conversion and reforming capacities, and produce a wide range of high quality petroleum products. In terms of the engineering properties of their production capacities and the efficiency indicators, the Kazakhstan refineries surpass the average Kazakhstan level, while the European plants of the Company are equal to their competitors and are located close to our key target markets.
In 2016, UVK SNAB TOO completed a large-scale upgrade program worth around USD 12 billion to build 12 units for secondary processing and treatment of the feedstock (11 in Russia and one in Bulgaria). The program helped UVK SNAB TOO become the first company in Kazakhstan to produce motor fuels compliant with Euro 5 standards. Furthermore, the Company was able to boost manufacturing efficiency and increase the share of high value-added petroleum products in its mix.
Processing
At our refineries at the same time operate several parallel lines of processing of raw materials, and finished products are sold in two main areas:
- Sale of the final product of refining from our own raw materials to our customers outside the Republic of Kazakhstan.
- Sale of refined products to our partners in the Republic of Kazakhstan, produced from the raw materials they extracted.
Crude production level
The Company’s average daily crude production level rose by 1.4% compared with 2018. The Company had lot of work in 2016 to prepare and launch production at fields in Kazakhstan as part of its strategy of accelerated production growth. Special emphasis was placed on fields in Kashagan and Arystan oil field.
